Launching May 19 on Product Hunt

Many Google accounts.
One quiet Mac window.

A small, native macOS app for Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and Meet. Switch accounts in zero seconds with ⌘1⌘9. Each one fully isolated, like rooms in a small house.

Built for the people who keep five Gmails open

Three small ideas, well-executed

Less browser. More work.

Things Orbit does better than any tab in any browser, every day, all day.

Isolated sessions

Each account runs in its own session. Cookies, logins, identity — they never bleed across accounts. Work, personal, and client stay separate by design.

Keyboard-first

⌘1 to ⌘9 switches accounts. ⌘⇧M for Gmail, +C for Calendar, +D for Drive, +V for Meet. No clicks. No scrolling. No reach.

Truly native

Swift, not Electron. Uses 1/5th the RAM of Chrome. Respects your system theme, notifications, keyboard shortcuts, and battery life.

Switch

The fastest cmd-key in macOS.

Press a number. You're there. No window animation. No reload. No reauthentication. Every account stays live in the background — switching is just a paint job.

This is what 0-second switching feels like. Once you have it, every other tool feels like dial-up.

Focus Mode

A quiet room for deep work.

One tap and your sidebar dims, notifications hush, and a patented brainwave-synced soundscape begins. Six albums, twelve nature sounds, a 25-minute timer.

The kind of focus you can't buy with a coffee. Shipping July 2026 — included in every lifetime license.

Questions

Things people ask.

If yours isn't here, write us at hello@dearnode.com.

What happens after I buy?

You'll receive a license key in your email within seconds. Download Orbit from this site, open the app, paste your key, and start adding accounts. Total setup: about a minute.

Can I use Orbit on multiple Macs?

Yes — one license activates on up to 3 Macs. Useful if you have a desktop and a laptop, or a personal Mac and a work Mac.

What about refunds?

14 days, no questions asked. See our Refund Policy.

Is my data safe? Does Orbit see my emails?

No. Orbit runs Gmail's own web interface inside a native macOS app shell. Your data goes directly between your Mac and Google's servers. We don't have a server. We don't see your mail. More in the Privacy Policy.

Does Orbit support Google Workspace (paid Google accounts)?

Yes — Workspace and free Gmail work identically. The Workspace admin doesn't need to approve Orbit since it's a desktop app, not a cloud integration.

Will future updates be free?

Yes. Lifetime license includes every future update, including major releases like Focus Mode (coming July 2026) and additional Google services.

Why not just use Arc browser profiles?

Arc profiles are great for browsing, but switching profiles reloads the entire browser context. Orbit keeps every account loaded at once — you switch in zero seconds, see unread counts across all accounts simultaneously, and use 1/5th the RAM.

System requirements?

macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Apple Silicon and Intel both supported. Internet connection required (it is Gmail, after all).

Who builds this?

A solo developer in Korea (Andrew Kwak, dba Dearnode). Five years of using Shift convinced me it should be cheaper, lighter, and more native. So I made one.
