Getting Started

What is Orbit?

Orbit is a native Mac app for people who run several Google accounts. Each account lives in its own isolated session, with its own cookies, sealed off from the rest, while you get one quiet window for your whole workspace. It's a lightweight 12 MB native app, not a browser wrapper.

Which Macs does Orbit run on?

Orbit runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple silicon Macs. Hardware security keys, passkey-only setups, and locked-down enterprise networks can block Google sign-in, so start the free trial to confirm Orbit works with your setup before buying.

How do I download and install it?

Grab the latest build from orbitformac.com/download, open the app, and sign in with Google. Add each account and it gets its own room; switch between them instantly with ⌘1–9.

Accounts & Email

How many accounts can I add?

You can add as many as you want — every account is fully isolated in its own session. Jump to your first nine with ⌘1–9. No more signing out and back in, and the wrong sender never sneaks into a reply.

Can I bring my existing Google accounts?

Yes. Sign in with any standard Google or Google Workspace account. Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet, and Gemini all work, because Orbit loads the real Google apps, not copies.

Can I use Outlook or other non-Google email?

Orbit doesn't integrate non-Google mail as a dedicated account type. But each room is a real, isolated browser session, so you can open Outlook, Proton, Yahoo, or any web app in its own room and use it like a separate browser, kept completely apart from your other accounts.

Pricing & Licensing

How much does Orbit cost?

Orbit is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The launch price is $19 (standard price $89) and includes one year of free updates. No recurring charges, no per-seat fees.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, a free 14-day trial, no card required. Pay only once you're sure Orbit is right for you.

Can I get a refund?

Every one-time license has a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund. Write to support@orbitformac.com with your order email and we'll refund your original payment method.

How many devices can one license cover?

A single license activates on up to 3 of your own devices at once. Licenses are personal and non-transferable.

Privacy & Security

Where is my data stored?

Everything stays on your Mac. Orbit has no server to send your mail to, so your email, calendar, and Drive contents never pass through Dearnode. It's private by architecture, not by promise.

Can Orbit (or Dearnode) see my email?

No. Sign-in tokens live in the macOS Keychain on your device, and your messages render locally. We only ever handle your email address for license keys and receipts, never your content.
